Community Safety Notice - Motorcycle Speeding
The Limestone Pointe HOA has received multiple reports this past summer, including as recently as Saturday, October 17, of a motorcycle traveling at excessive speeds through our neighborhood.
This activity is not only loud and disruptive to the peace of our community, but also poses a serious safety risk to residents, particularly children playing outside, pedestrians, and families enjoying our neighborhood streets.
We are asking for the community's assistance. Many homes throughout Limestone Pointe have doorbell cameras or other security systems that may have captured these incidents. We encourage homeowners to review and preserve any relevant recordings. Even brief footage showing the motorcycle, rider, direction of travel, or other identifying details may help law enforcement address the situation.
Please report these incidents directly to the Columbus Division of Police at (614) 645-4545 (non-emergency). When reporting an incident, provide the date, time, location, and details of any available camera footage. If dangerous driving presents an immediate threat to public safety, call 911.
For everyone's safety, please do not attempt to stop, follow, or confront the rider. Your safety comes first.
While traffic enforcement falls under the jurisdiction of the City of Columbus, not the Association, the HOA can work with our community police officer to communicate these concerns and bring greater attention to these repeated incidents.
A General Reminder About Neighborhood Safety
We also encourage residents to report other unusual or suspicious activity that may involve criminal behavior or threaten public safety directly to the Columbus Division of Police. Whether it's reckless driving, suspicious activity around homes or vehicles, or other public safety concerns, reporting these incidents helps law enforcement identify patterns and respond appropriately. The HOA cannot investigate or enforce criminal or traffic laws, but we can help communicate concerns affecting our neighborhood.
We ask everyone to remain alert, respect their neighbors, and help keep Limestone Pointe a safe and peaceful community.
Thank you for your cooperation.
